Nacho Libre Margarita Day 2020

Margarita Day. A day where practically every Mexican restaurant engages their audience with margarita-related content asking their followers who much they love the tequila based drink or which is their favorite flavor. Nacho Libre Cantina Mexicana went a little further and decided to settle a long dispute: what's the right way to drink a margarita, salt on the rim or no salt?

Our influencer strategy centered on making two of our most loyal fans leaders of each team: Team Salt and Team No Salt. The team with the most members would get the ultimate prize: margarita happy hour. 

​

The digital activation led to record-breaking number of margaritas sold per minute. Proving that a little competition never hurt anyone.
